Forth and Clyde Canal, Scotland

Boating, cycling and paddleboarding are just three of the ways to explore the tranquil Forth and Clyde Canal which runs across central Scotland, from the River Grangemouth to the River Clyde at Bowling.

Built in the 18th century to transport goods from one town to another, the canal is now too narrow for seagoing vessels and has become a convenient way to explore the bustling towns and quiet countryside along its route.
