Irish Republican History Museum, Belfast

With over 5000 artefacts, Eileen Hickey has collected over 200 years of Irish history in a fascinating museum in the heart of west Belfast.

The mill dates back to 1842, but was opened as a museum in 2007.  Across the museum’s tightly confined space is a treasure trove of handcrafted items, produced by prisoners throughout the history of internment and imprisonment of republicans in Ireland.
