Hofgarten, Munich

Stroll through this little garden on the way to your next destination.

If you are in Odeonsplatz then you could easily walk past one of the best places to give your feet a rest in all of Munich; the Hofgarten. Walk through the archway that looks onto Odeonsplatz and you will find this secluded seventeenth century garden. This is a great spot in which to simply relax or grab a drink after a hard day’s sightseeing. If you can, come to the garden in the evening. At this time of day people play boules on the garden’s edges and in the summer months there might even be some ballroom dancing going on in the central temple. The fountains are turned on from 10am-2pm from April through October.
