The National Maritime Museum, Amsterdam

Dating back to 1656, the National Maritime Museum has one of the most remarkable maritime collections in the world.

Showcasing paintings, ship models, navigation instruments and world maps, this museum reflects how the sea has shaped Dutch culture over 500 years.

The museum has various exhibitions including the replica of the Butch East India Company ship ‘Amsterdam’ which is accessible to visitors to climb on board and explore it.
