Bernisches Historisches Museum / Einstein Museum, Bern

Only a short walk from the Museum of Communication, at first, this exhibit may seem quite random, but it is a little known fact that Einstein was in Bern when he developed his theory of relativity.

The exhibition covers around 1000m2 of space and all aspects of Einstein’s life, including original objects and replicas, films and animations. Audio guides are available in nine languages. All of this is housed in Switzerland’s second largest historical museum, built in 1894 and modelled from 15th and 16th century castles.
