Rosengarten, Bern

Thanks to its location just above the Bear Pit, you can get a bird’s eye view of Bern’s Old Town, its roofed landscape and even the Alps if the weather is good, from what is widely considered the city’s most beautiful park.

In Summer, there are around 250 rose species, a water lily pond with a fountain. In Spring there is Japanese cherry blossom. Aside from the trees and  flowers, there’s a pavilion with a library that you can use for free, or just take the time to stroll, enjoy a picnic, admire the view, or make use of the playground and restaurant.
