Monet, Renoir... Chagall. Journeys around the Mediterranean, Atelier des Lumierès, Paris: February 2020-3 January 2021

This exhibition presents an itinerary that spans the period between impressionism and modernism.

The Atelier des Lumières presents a new immersive exhibition designed just like a visual experience among the most famous masterpieces of 20 great artists including Renoir, Monet, Pissarro, Matisse, Signac, Derain and Chagall.

Apart from the section devoted to Van Gogh, the theme of the exhibition is that of the trip to the Mediterranean ("voyage en Méditerranée") and is based on a 40-minute sound and light show among 500 works of art created between the 19th and 20th centuries.
Through seven sequences visitors will be taken from one artistic movement to another: impressionism, pointillism, fauvism (an expression of modernism) and so on.

In this way, the new digital exhibition will highlight the link between artistic creativity and the Mediterranean shores, as the principal centres of the modernist movement.
