St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Cathedral, Kiev

The neo-Gothic Cathedral was originally built for the city’s growing Polish community.

Built between 1899 and 1909 in the neo-Gothic style, it was the second Roman Catholic church to be built in the city, after the St. Alexander Cathedral.

Today its adorned façade, surrounded by the modern buildings of the area, is  architecturally striking. The building is shared between the Roman Catholic Church and the National Institute of Organ and Chamber Music, who took up their seat here in 1980.
