Tropenmuseum, Amsterdam

The Amsterdam Tropenmuseum accommodates eight permanent exhibitions and an ongoing series of temporary exhibitions, including modern and traditional visual arts and photographic works.

The Tropenmuseum is an ethnographic museum, one of the largest in Amsterdam, founded in 1864.

Engaged exhibitions such as the Afterlives of Slavery and Longing for Mecca, together with major crowd pullers such as Cool Japan and the successful Tropenmuseum Junior make this a museum very popular.
