Named in honour of Soviet commander Alexander Marinesko, this museum was opened in 1997 and is the only municipal museum of Russian submarine forces. An often forgotten part of Russian warfare, the submarine forces are suitably honoured here. There are many items on display, including models of the submarines operated in Russia through history, and original equipment from them. You can also see items that showcase Russian naval traditions and more personal items, photos and documents belonging to the Russian sailors. Don't miss the special hatch mounted in the wall, cut from the Delta I-class soviet nuclear submarine K-385. You can try moving through the hatch to get an idea of the small spaces that the submarine sailors operated within.
