The museum was opened in Toledo’s Jewish quarter in 1911 to celebrate the work of El Greco, a Greek-born artist.
The property consists of two buildings which recreate El Greco’s house and are filled with 17th-century furniture and Talavera de la Reina pottery.
The museum exhibits El Greco’s work, particularly his last works which were completed in Spain. It also features the artwork of his followers and Marquis of Vega-Inclán, the museum's founder.
To complete your visit, explore the terraced gardens and excavated cellars from the Jewish quarter on the site.
