Violent passion under the scorching Spanish sun: along this storyline inspired by Prosper Mérimée, Georges Bizet wrote expressive, elegant and colourful music, alternating, with a consummate skill for theatrical effect, dramatic passages and lighter ones, and composing a multitude of melodically inspired pages that will forever be engraved in our collective memory. Under the baton of Fabien Gabel, Gaëlle Arquez and Clémentine Margaine will successively play this iconic role from the French repertoire, in a production brimming with excitement and fury, directed by Calixto Bieito.
