Universeum, Gothenburg

Universeum is a public science centre and museum that opened in 2001.

There is a fantastically rich array of things to do at Gothenburg’s modern science museum, an easy 20-minute tram ride to the south-east of the city centre.

Combining a Chemistry Lab, Outer Space, and countless episodes of David Attenborough all under one roof, Universeum is a light-hearted but no less informative collection of insightful exhibitions engaging with the world around us.

Animal-lovers will be particularly taken by their very own South American rainforest, the “Reptilarium” and the enormous aquarium which several hundred species of fish call home.
