Museum of Cambridge, Cambridge

Within a 17th-century former coaching inn, the museum’s collections represent over 300 years of Cambridge and Cambridgeshire history.

Originally called ‘The Cambridge and County Folk Museum’, the museum building in itself is an increasingly rare example of an historic timber framed building of its type which is open to the public. The museum’s collection comprises over 20,000 objects which reflect the social history of Cambridge. There is also a shop themed around Cambridge and Cambridgeshire, selling a ‘Made in Cambridgeshire’ range.
