The exhibition presents a thematic journey through the museum's collections dedicated to the influence of literature on Pablo Picasso's work.
Discreet but insatiable reader, Picasso drew his inspiration from reading throughout his life and forged his imagination in contact with the written word. By means of his personal library, part of which is presented here for the first time, the museum's masterpieces reveal the importance of storytelling in the artist's creative process, but also the graphic springs of Picassian humor. This unique display offers a dive into his imagination and allows a cultural approach to his creation. It also echoes the exhibitions organized in situ and outside the walls in 2020, associating Picasso's work with books, reading and more broadly with the world of paper.
