Hito Steyerl. I will survive, Exhibition, Centre Pompidou, Paris: 19 May-5 July 2021

This is archived material. It is for reference purposes only.

A joint exhibition between Centre Pompidou and K21 Dusseldorf, devoted to Hito Steryerl and a retrospective selection of the artist’s major works.

With its singular language mixing satire and critical essay, the work of the German artist Hito Steyerl has gained notable international recognition in recent years. Stemming from a very personal approach to documentary film, this work has been developing since the turn of the decade in the form of immersive video and multimedia installations, attached to a spirit of research and experimentation.

Using and questioning recent technology in his work, Hito Steyerl takes a multifaceted look at the growing action of multinationals in the entire social sphere and public space.
