Carte Blanche: Anne Imhof, Exhibition, Palais de Tokyo, Paris: 22 May-24 October 2021

This is archived material. It is for reference purposes only.

An exhibition by Anne Imhof that occupies all of the diverse spaces of the Palais de Tokyo.

This large scale exhibition by Anne Imhof will combine performance, painting, music and installations for a topographical experience of the building’s entrails. This will introduce new perspectives of the space and place it in broader aesthetics and concepts, connecting it to other historical and contemporary artists.

Anne Imhof will create effects of resonance and duplication amid an open architectural space, transformed into a vast sonic body and an inhabited labyrinth. She deconstructs the hierarchical systems it embodies so as to generate new images in which the live, visual arts, music and architecture merge.
