The Dante Project, inspired by Dante's The Divine Comedy and new to the Paris Opera repertoire, is a ballet choreographed by Wayne McGregor. Book your tickets in advance on Divento.

Premiered in London in December 2021, The Dante Project is now entering the Paris Opera repertoire. Set to a colourful orchestral score by Thomas Adès, British choreographer Wayne McGregor's three-act ballet is inspired by the alternately icy and sun-drenched landscapes of The Divine Comedy. Written in the 14th century by Dante, this founding poem of the Italian language tells of an initiatory journey through Hell, Purgatory and Paradise. McGregor reconstructs a narrative arc that takes the audience on a continuous journey, where sound, movement and light constitute the fabric of a mysterious and changing constellation.
