The triad of Viennese classical music: Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Mozarthaus, Vienna: 31 May 2020-31 January 2021

This is archived material. It is for reference purposes only.

A deep analysis of the triad who revolutionized the classical music and of the epoch that went down in the history of music as the "First Viennese School".

The three composers have shaped not only their era but the entire history of music. The exhibition in the Mozarthaus in Vienna traces the similarities, parallels and differences of these three giants of the musical world. Mozart and Haydn were close friends and played together in Mozart's apartment (now the Mozarthaus in Vienna). Beethoven - whose 250th birthday will be celebrated in 2020 - wanted to be a Mozart student, but will be instructed by Haydn. These and other aspects of the three exceptional artists are explored within the exhibition.
