Volvo Museum, Gothenburg

The Volvo Museum covers the history and development of Sweden's leading car manufacturer.

It is a universally appreciated fact that Sweden loves Swedish things, be it food, furniture, ABBA or automobiles. So given the sheer number of Volvo’s on the roads, it’s not surprising that you can take a ride through the history of the company in their very own museum, opened in 1995.

Whether you’re feeling somewhat nostalgic about the old banger that your dad once had, or curious about the concept cars of the future, all chapters of this beloved institution turning 100 years old in 2027 are on display here.

‘But I owned a SAAB!’ I hear you cry.

Fear not. The equally interesting SAAB Museum in Trollhättan is only an hour or so away.
