Marché de la Création Paris-Bastille

Starting at the Place de la Bastille, the Marché de la Création stretches down the Boulevard Richard Lenoir in a seemingly endless array of shops, stalls and tables of vendors exhibiting and selling high quality, handmade goods.

You can find anything from ceramics, paintings, prints and jewellery to fresh produce, as the art here comes in many forms.

Every Saturday, rain or shine, the artists of the Marché de la Création are drawn by the torch of the Génie de la Liberté, an inspiring symbol of freedom that has become a sort of patron saint of artists. Enjoy the vibrant, welcoming atmosphere of the market and its ideal location as you stroll along the Canal Saint-Martin. Appreciate the work of over 200 artists in what has developed into one of Paris’s most informal, yet lively museums to rival the likes of the Louvre (and without the queue).
