House of the Wannsee Conference, Berlin

The house where Nazi officials held the Wannsee Conference in 1942.

In January 1942, 15 senior Nazi officials met in this 20th-century manor house and decided the so-called ‘Final Solution’ to the ‘Jewish Question’. This meeting led to the systematic deportation and genocide of the Jews living in German-occupied Europe.

Today, this former stately home is a museum and a memorial for the Holocaust. You can learn about the Wannsee Conference and its aftermath through the original documents and photographs on display.
