Passeig de Gràcia is a major thoroughfare in Barcelona that runs from Plaça Catalunya to Carrer Gran de Gràcia, marked by a large number of significant Modern buildings, great shopping and notoriously expensive homes. The street is the site of the famous Ila de la Discòrdia (Apple of Discord, in English), a series of three of the most important Modern structures in Barcelona, Casa Amantller, Casa Batlló and Casa Lléo Morera. The houses are all unique, striking works of Art Nouveau architecture, each one designed by one of the famed 20th century architects that together built modern Barcelona: Josep Puig i Cadafalch, Antoni Gaudí and Lluís Domènech i Montaner. Other buildings of note include the iconic Casa Milà (also designed by Antoni Gaudí) and the Hotel Majestic.

Besides its breathtaking architectural features, Passeig de Gràcia also offers some of the best shopping in the city. Huge names in fashion, like Prada and Louis Vuitton, have their outlets here, as well as many up and coming stores and boutiques. Although it is known as one of the most expensive streets in Barcelona, Passeig de Gràcia does have many more affordable options, including smaller independent stores and chains. Either way, the street has shopping and sights that people of any taste will enjoy.
