Palm House, Vienna: All Year

Vienna’s Palm House, or Palmenhaus, is part of the Schonbrunn Palace. It might not sound important, but it’s a beautiful place to wander through. It’s the biggest and last of its kind to have been built on the European continent. The greenhouse-style structure has tens of thousands of glass panes, and is over 100 metres long so you can spend hours wandering between the plants and trees.

The Palm House is divided into three pavilions and three climate zones, which are connected by tunnel-like corridors. The climates are Mediterranean, temperate, and tropical, so there are rare plants from all over the world.
