Ethnographic Museum, Split

The museum is in the southeastern quarter of Diocletian’s Palace which dates back to the third century and was the lived in.

It includes architectural features like the original archways of Diocletian’s private quarters, the courtyard and the house of mediaeval noble family Natalis (Božić), as well as the church of St. Andrew de Fenestris. Your entrance  ticket includes  access to the vestibule terrace, which offers amazing views.
 
  Inside, there are three floors full of information about the history of the city. Some of the highlights on display are the historical costumes of the inhabitants of  Dalmatian towns and villages,  everyday bits and pieces used in everyday  life in Split and  handmade lace, interwoven by the nuns of Hvar.
