Trg Braće Radić, Split

Also known as Fruit Square Square  it  includes an octagonal Venetian tower, (a former fortress), dating back to the 15th century and the  magnificent 17th century Milesi  Palace with its  spectacular Baroque facade.   In the middle there is a statue of the 15th century Croatian philosophical and  literary genius,  Marko Marulić,  by Ivan Meštrović, one of the most famous sculptors in Croatia.

The square was named after the two Radić  brothers,  known for their influence on Croatian politics during the early 20th century but used to be called Fruit Square because fruit was sold there.
