Originally built in the 14th century the church was built in honour of Saint Blaise, the patron saint of the city, known for defending Dubrovnik.
The current structure is mostly Baroque having been rebuilt after a devastating earthquake in the 17th century.
The facade of the church is an impressive example of Baroque architecture, decorated with sculptures and intricate details. Inside, you can also admire the lavish Baroque interior, including the ornate altar dedicated to St Blaise.
