This is a one and only chance to see a movie in the oldest cinema in the UK. It opened in 1924 and has been showing motion pictures almost ever since. Relax on the original velvet couches or even on the reclining beds whilst waiters serve you drinks. If you can't get hold of tickets for a movie, the nice lady on the door will allow you to take a quick look inside if nothing is showing.

During the First World War, the cinema was attacked by an angry mob who thought that its German-born manager was signalling to Zeppelin raiders from the roof, because a bomb was dropped from a Zeppelin on nearby Arundel Gardens.
