The longest open-air gallery in the world on a section of the Berlin Wall.
The Berlin Wall divided the city for 28-years, between 1961 and 1989. When the Wall was pulled down, 118 artists flocked to Berlin from 21 countries and began to paint this 1.3 kilometre section beside the River Spree.
This section of the Wall is now the colourful home to over one-hundred paintings filled with the artists’ political opinions and hopes for the future.
Make sure you see the Trabant, the popular East German car, smashing through the Wall painted by Birgit Kinder.
