Renovated in the 80's, the Ephraim-Palais (Ephraim Palace) is an imposing rococo house which is located in the Saint-Nikolas district (on the fringe of the Mitte district). It is considered as one of the most beautiful historical houses in Berlin. Both its inner and outer architecture are admirable. The house has been turned into a museum, which houses nowadays various collections and exhibitions and which belongs to the Foundation of the Berlin Museums (Stiftung Stadtsmuseum Berlin).
