The magnificent Wawel Castle in Krakow is now restored to its former glory and it has been fully refurbished.

It was built to house the Polish rulers until 1609 when the absence of a royal presence started a period of neglect and decline.

It was not until after the Nazi occupation that work could begin in earnest to recapture the history and marvel that Wawel should be remembered for.
