Book your tickets to Play, choreographed by Alexander Ekman, at the Palais Garnier, Paris, in 2021. An infectiously energetic production, Play combines dance, theatre, music and song in a festive, sometimes burlesque spirit, full of humour and often thoughtful.
Swedish choreographer Alexander Ekman's first piece for the Paris Opera Ballet, Play premiered in December 2017. The choreographer transforms the stage of the Palais Garnier into a genuine playground and plunges the spectator into childhood to an original score by Mikael Karlsson. An infectiously energetic production, Play combines dance, theatre, music and song in a festive, sometimes burlesque spirit, full of humour and often thoughtful.
