Old Town Hall, Prague

Prague’s Old Town Hall is made up of the tower - home to the world’s oldest working astronomical clock - the halls themselves, and an expansive underground area.

Established in 1338 to house Prague’s Old Town administration, the Old Town Hall has an even richer history than the many other old Gothic buildings of the Old Town Square. Even if you don’t go inside the complex, it is worth visiting the building in your trip to the Old Town to see the Astronomical Clock on the tower.

Tours of the town hall take visitors up the tower and down into the basements, and a Town Hall Pass can be purchased for travellers who wish to see the New Town Hall as well as the Old Town Hall.
