Dream. Art meets Dreams, Exhibition, Chiostro Del Bramante, Rome: 29 September - 5 May 2019

Chiostro Del Bramante (the Cloister of Bramante) in the complex of the church Santa Maria Della pace stages the exhibition Art. Art meets Dream (Dream. L’arte incontra i sogni), a place where dreams comes alive. The exhibition will introduce its visitors to the subjects of dreams, hopes, desires fantasies and their opposites such as fears and limits. Our dreams can sometimes be a reflection of our deepest thoughts and our unconsciousness that otherwise can be hard to reach and understand.

This is a journey through a surreal world filled with emotions and also a part of a trilogy, Love (2016) and Enjoy (2017), all created and curated by the art-critic Danilo Eccher. Eccher has put together some of our biggest contemporary artists in a world full of dreamlike passages in the actual structure of a Renaissance cloister. The spectator will meet with lights and shadows, innovative patterns, dancing figures, glitter, water and other elements and works of artists such as James Turrell, Anish Kapoor, Bill Viola, Jaume Plensa and many more. It is possible to enjoy the exhibition with an audioguide.
