Vibrations, 360-Degree Audiovisual Display Avignon: 11 August-12 October 2019

This stunning light and sound display, projected around the magnificent medieval courtyard of the Palais des Papes, is sure to entertain even the most immovable people in the crowd. With the crowd encouraged to stand or sit wherever they find a comfortable space in the already stunning courtyard of the Pope’s Palace, the show opens with surround-sound loud enough to make the floor vibrate - hence the title of the show - and the lights create breathtaking scenes covering every inch of the courtyard walls. As characters move across the walls, the crowd can move around the space to follow the scene, or just remain still and watch the action develop before them.

The exhibition factors in elements of Provencal culture, with scenes of the Rhône river, Mont Ventoux, and famed artworks of Provence being projected in magnificent scale for the crowd to enjoy. Various styles of music accompany the visuals, with many visitors taking the moment to dance alongside their loved ones or new friends. The atmosphere within the walls is electric, and this show will continue to stun you the third, fourth or fifth time you see it.

The display lasts around 30 minutes and is suitable for all ages, including children, and it is truly immersive and entertaining for groups of any size.
