Founded in 1954 the museum is named after Nikola Tesla, one of the greatest inventors, who was born in Smiljan, a village in Croatia.
With over five thematic rooms, the museum features a wide range of models and authentic exhibits. The first floor offers a diverse collection of vintage firefighting cars, turbines, and engines to life-sized models of airplanes, cars, old trams and trains. On the second floor, visitors can see various generations of sewing machines, TVs, radios, cameras, and medical equipment. Additionally, sustainable energy sources and their applications are thematically displayed.
The permanent exhibition of the museum encompasses different departments that have gradually opened throughout history. You can delve into the areas of Energy Transformation, Transport Means, Mining, Oil collection, Astronautics with the Planetarium, Basics of Agriculture, Firefighting, and the Demonstration Cabinet of Nikola Tesla.
