Romantic promenade in the Upper Town of Zagreb with a marvellous panoramic view
Strossmayer Promenade, also known as Zagreb Stross, is probably the best spot for a stroll with a panoramic view of the city. It runs along the remains of Zagreb’s medieval defensive walls that were built in front of the Lotrščak Tower. The promenade received its name after Bishop Josip Juraj Strossmayer who was a prominent leader in the social, cultural and political sphere of Croatia in the 19th century. Throughout the year Zagreb Stross hosts various events, performances and concerts.
