Also known as Piazza del Papa, this square is the city's heart, socially and historically and is home to several noteworthy buildings.
These include the Church of San Domenico, the statue of Clement XII, the Palazzo Mengoni Ferretti, the Museum of the City, the Civic Tower, the Palazzo Del Governo (today’s prefecture), the atelier dell’Arco building, as well as a 14th and 19th century fountain.
