Known for being the home of legendary composer George Enescu, this grand Art Nouveau palace was built in 1905 for the Mayor of Bucharest, Gheorge Cantacuzino. After marrying the widow of Cantacuzino’s son, Enescu lived here until his death in 1954. A year later, the palace was opened as a museum dedicated to his life and work, displaying memorabilia and artefacts, including his private piano.
