Al Norte de la Tormenta, Exhibition, MAXXI, Rome: 22 May-8 September 2019

The museum continues to do international collaborations. This time within the project Expanding the Horizon where the protagonists are the masterpieces from one of the most important museums in Spain, the IVAM (Institut Valencià d’Art Modern). The exhibition named AL NORTE DE LA TORMENTA. From Robert Rauschenberg to Antoni Tàpies, from Bruce Nauman to Juan Muñoz is curated by Hou Hanru and Chiara Bertini and its title taken from a 1986 work by Juan Muñoz, a spanish sculptor working primarily in paper maché, resin and bronze.

Muñoz is not the only world-renowned artist, on display are works of Bruce Nauman, Robert Rauschenberg, Susana Solano, Antoni Tàpies and Cristina Iglesias among others. This mix of masterpieces will stay at the MAXXI museum until September 2020.
