A popular haunt of young Kyivan locals, the park is a hive of activity with its numerous beaches, watersports facilities, activities and nightlife.
The Hydropark is spread between the Venetian and Dolobetsk islands, connected to the city centre by two bridges. During the day you can rent a boat or catamaran, or take a boat trip along the river. The park comes alive during the evenings, when its bars and restaurants, casinos and nightclubs stay open late into the night. Look out for the shashlyk (kebab) stands which serve the 20th-century Russian street food staple.
