Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Glasgow

Reopening in 2006 after three years of refurbishment, the gallery and museum quickly became one of Scotland’s most popular attractions.

Wander through Kelvingrove’s 22 galleries displaying some 8000 objects, from Renaissance art to taxidermy and artefacts from ancient Egypt. Don’t miss Salvador Dali’s masterpiece, ‘Christ of St John of the Cross’, or the Spitfire plane hanging from the ceiling of the west court.
