Herschel Museum of Astronomy, Bath

The Herschel Museum of Astronomy is dedicated to the many achievements of the Herschels. It was from this house in 1781 that William Herschel used a telescope of his own design and discovered the planet Uranus.

Today, as well as exploring the extensive museum, visitors of all ages can take part in solar and stargazing events, as well as learn about ongoing astronomic research.
