Midland Air Museum, Coventry

The museum offers a unique aeronautical collection, which was started in 1967 by the Midland Aircraft Preservation Society.

The “Wings over Coventry” exhibition includes engines, wind tunnel models, aircraft components amongst other items. The museum’s aircraft exhibits also include locally built types, such as the huge Armstrong-Whitworth Argosy which is their largest airframe, a Humber Monoplane replica, a Flying Flea and a Vickers Viscount airliner. The strongest theme of the museum is the development of the jet and jet-powered aircraft.
