The Kammerzell House, Strasbourg, France

Considered a gem of Alsatian architecture, the Maison  Kammerzell (built between 1427 and 1589) is probably the finest  burgher's house.

Discover a typical Alsatian house, with its  half-timbered upper floors, traditional leaded windows, and rich carved ornamentation.

The ground floor, with its carved stone arches, was used by  merchants to sell  their wares during the 15th century.

Today the  Maison Kammerzell is a hotel which includes a restaurant with windows that look out onto the cathedral's facade.
