The Museum of Oxford is the only museum dedicated to telling the story of Oxford and its people.
Its collection includes a range of archaeological and social history objects. Some highlights are: the Grave Slab of a Saxon Princess who is also patron Saint of Oxford, Alice Lidell’s Red Cross Service Medal, Scott’s Marmalade Tin which was found in Antarctica in the expedition stores for Scott’s mission to the South Pole, and Oliver Cromwell’s Death Mask, amongst many other interesting artefacts.
