Raglan Castle, Raglan

The modern Raglan Castle dates from between the 15th and early 17th-centuries, when the successive ruling families of the Herberts and the Somersets created a luxurious, fortified castle, complete with a large hexagonal keep.

The castle was slighted after the Civil War and began to fall into disrepair. The castle became a tourist attraction in 1756. It remains open to visitors today.
