Carew Castle, Tenby

The Carew family, who take their name from this site, still own the castle and lease it to the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park

The castle was orginally a Norman stronghold and is made of a mixture of achitectural styles as modifications were made over successive centuries. The castle was lived in by the Carew family until 1686 when it was abandoned. It is managed by Cadw today.
