This museum is dedicated to the work of Jan Matejko, one of the greatest Polish painters in the 19th-century who lived here.
It was turned into a museum by the Society of Friends of Fine Arts in the 20th-century. Inside you’ll find Metejko’s paintings of polish Kings and Princesses as well as personal items, including easels and boxes for drawings. Don’t miss the porch, an architectural design of Matejko’s and the 17th-century St. John the Baptist and Our Lady of the Scapular Church, which is a two minute walk away.
