The Museum of London is commemorating the 100th anniversary of the passing of the 1918 Representation of the People Act with the ‘Votes for Women’ exhibition. The events and displays include all sorts of informative and engaging Suffragette memorabilia.
The ‘Votes for Women’ Exhibition, sponsored by Travers Smith, at the Museum of London commemorates the centenary of the 1918 Representation of the People Act, the first act to be passed that legally allowed some women in the UK to vote and is the perfect way to find out more about the Suffragette movement
The museum has compiled a fantastic collection of articles, iconic objects, as well as a newly commissioned film, for you to browse and explore. The exhibition is dedicated to those who campaigned tirelessly for 50 years to receive the right to vote. The events and displays included in the museum’s 2018 ‘Votes for Women’ programme are:
